​​​​​​Social Media ​​​​​​is a digital technology that allows the sharing of ideas and information,including text and visuals, through virtual networks and communities. 
The Term social media is regard to media suggests that platforms are the user-centric and enable communal activity. 
"ANDREW WEINREICH" is the founder of social media. It is a collective term of websites and applications that focus on communication, community based input interaction, content-sharing and collaboration
Impacts :- ​​​​

 • These Negative effects include cyberbullying, the spread of misinformation, addiction, the decline in face-to-face communication,  self-esteem issues, social isolation,  polarization and echo chambers, cyber stalking and harrasment , a decrease in Privacy and comparison and envy.
• Social media use can also negatively affect teens , distracting them, disturbing their sleep and exposing them to bullying, rumour spreading, unrealistic views of other people's lives and peer pressure. 
• Social media is addicting. When you're playing a game or accomplishing a task , you seek to do it as well as you can. 
• Social media addiction can put you at a higher risk of menatl health conditions like anxiety or depression and even self harming behaviour or suicidal thoughts. 

Why Isn't Social Media good for kids?


• Their brains aren't fully developed
• It's very stressful
• They miss out on other experiences and activities
• Lost connections and attachments
• It's makes them more depress.

How can I Quit social media ?​​​​​​

• Set time limits
• make social media harder to access
• Turn off notifications
• temporarily uninstall Social media apps
• start another hobby
• interact and spend more time with your family .

 • It is a big part of social and creative life for pre-teens and teenagers.
 • pre-teens and teenagers use Social media to have fun , make and maintain friendships, share and learn interests , explore identities and develop relationships with family. 
 • it's and extension to their offline and face-to-face interactions.
 • Social media can help to improve an individual's sense of connectedness with real or online communities and can be an effective communication tool for corporations , advocacy groups political parties and governments.
