         Social media is the means of interactions among people in which they create, share, and/or exchange information and ideas in virtual communities and networks.

  • Social media helps to improve student’s performance by giving them assignments and allowing them to gather data through online mode to make their assignments. 
  • Social media platforms have also given rise to online communities, where users can connect with others who share similar interests, hobbies, or experiences. 
  • Social media provide up-to-date information and stay connected with people from long distances. 
  • ​​​​It is a new form of entertainment for all age groups.​​​​​​

  • Hacking is the most severe drawback of social media.
  • ​​​Posting embarrassing photos and videos of someone on social media.
  • Spreads fake news rapidly

  • Reduces the ability to communicate face to face 
CONCLUSION 
        Social media has had a profound impact on society, transforming the way we communicate, share information, and consume media. While it has brought about many positive changes, such as increased connectivity and democratization of information, it has also had negative effects, such as the spread of misinformation and the amplification of hate speech. As social media continues to evolve, it is essential to recognize both the positive and negative impacts it has on society and take steps to mitigate its negative effects.
