The Role Of Technology In Shaping Our Future

INTRODUCTION:

Technology is a word that is widely used these days. Technology means so many things to different people but to me, it is all about evolution. We, human beings evolved from wandering to sitting in one place all day long, walking on foot to traveling in a plane, and so on. Technology is meant to make our lives better. Technology made us what we are today. Before 1876 nobody thought about talking to a person far away from them but the telephone made it possible. Technology is about practical application it paved the way for us to do impossible things. Today technology is what defines us it is everything. Technology is not confined to a single sector it expands to every sector one could possibly imagine. It has shaped our lives and it will go on to mould our lives in the future. In the next few decades, you would look back and wonder how all these changes took place. We cannot predict how technology is going to change our lives it may build our future or destroy it. We never think of destruction but anything may happen.

THEME:

The World in the Future is going to be unimaginably different from how you know it today. Significant Technological changes took place in the way we communicate we went on from audio calls to video calls in the near future we are going to talk to people as if we are with them we can feel them and experience talking to another person with real-time facial expressions. Once a great author said "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" During lockdown I saw a video of Mark Zuckerberg introducing us to Metaverse which is how our future is going to look, Metaverse is going to revolutionize every other sector if it ever comes into existence. People already started buying this so-called virtual land . A few months back Apple introduced us to Apple Vision Pro which is a headset that drastically changes the way we communicate and the way we see the world. I'm excited and scared about the future one day we are only going to communicate virtually and stop communicating in the physical world we might get lost in the virtual world. Web 3.0 is yet another big thing in the coming decades it is interactive and decentralizes ownership of private companies over individuals and you own everything that you create online and anybody using your product pays you a royalty that is the very concept of NFT they give you ownership over your creations. Blockchain is what links up all of the things I mentioned above. The transportation is going to be very different in the future. The clothing sector is going to be affected by Nanotechnology. The food is going to be made in 3D printers. interstellar travel is going to reach new heights and space exploration is going to become very important. The climate change would be very harsh and could potentially destroy the planet. The technology used in space exploration will be very advanced you could only imagine that kind of technology in science fiction movies and novels. The medical sector is also very different they may even find a way to become immortal and de-aging becomes quite common. And they may find medicine for uncurable diseases. Pretty much everything in the future is going to be affected by technology.

CONCLUSION:

It is very difficult to predict the technological changes in the future Technology has influence over everything including human emotions. We must wait and keep on predicting and working to improve our lives...
