Facebook Groups, Reddit are good examples for such online communities where strong relationships can be built and maintained.
Awareness and Advocacy: Social media has amplified important social and political movements. Platforms like LinkedIn have fostered Professional relationships among the people to find jobs, opportunities and to build careers.
The Cons:
Comparison and Insecurity: One of the most significant drawbacks of social media is the culture of comparison. Constant exposure to carefully curated images and lifestyles can lead to feelings of inadequacy and jealousy, negatively impacting self-esteem and relationships.
