The Impact of Social Media on Relationships

The Impacts of Social Media on Relationships

Relations are harder nowadays because conversations become texting📱.. arguments become phone calls📞...and feelings become status updates...

Hy,guys!.....Social media has become an integral part in everyone of our lives. We use it to connect with friends, family share our thoughts and experiences, and even find love. Social media has made it easier for the people to connect with each other.
With just a few clicks, we can find and connect with people from all over the world who share our interests and values.

There are both positive and negative impacts of Social media on relationship✨

        POSITIVE IMPACTS:

  • Social media has made easier to the people who are in long distance relationships to stay connected.

  • Many people find it easier to express their feelings. This has helped many people to open up and communicate more effectively.

NEGATIVE IMPACTS:

  • Unrealistic Expectations

  • No Quality Time

  • Fuels jealousy

  • Boring Life

THEN HOW TO MANAGAE ❓ ❓

  • Unfortunately people are checking their notifications before wishing the ones around them a good morning. Prioritising the outside world more than meaningful relationships has led to a drift between people. This habit can be consciously changed. People can make an effort to refrain from looking at their devices first thing in the morning.

  • Avoid using social media as a venting platform.  Especially when you wish to vent out about someone else. Let us make a conscious effort to minimise the use of social media and its impact on relationships. Let us keep them as human as possible.

  • Many prefer texting to in-person conversations. Texting has been beneficial in many ways. Although, when emotions are being discussed, a text does not convey the genuine emotion. Texts may lead to misunderstandings which have been known to hamper relationships. Therefore, it is always beneficial to discuss serious matters in–person or on a call.

IN CONCLUSION, There may be both positive and negative impacts of social media on your relationships. If you and your partner are having fights over (or sparked by) social media, or if both of you are not spending quality time, it could spell trouble in your relationship. How you use social media determines whether it helps or hinders your relationships. Furthermore, many opinions, views, or ideas on many topics may lead us to incorrect conclusions. Over-reliance on social media to advance your relationship could be fatal.
