Hyperloop: The Speed of Tomorrow

Introduction
In 2016 hyperloop transportation technologies were considered by the Indian government for an organised route between Chennai and Bengaluru, with a travel time of 345 km of 30 min HTT also signed an agreement with Andhra Andhra Pradesh government to build India’s🇮🇳 first hyperloop project connecting amaravthi to Vijayawada in a 6 minutes ride. Maharashtra will create the first hyperloop transportation system in the world and a global hyperloop supply chain starting from Pune.
In 2020 the first passenger test of Hyperloop technology was successfully conducted by Virgin Hyperloop
from 2012 until August 2013 a group of engineers from both Tesla and SpaceX worked on the prototype of Musk’s Hyperloop. In 2016 May the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) hyperloop team developed the first hyperloop pod prototype. The trademark "HYPERLOOP", applicable to "high-speed transportation of goods in tubes" was issued to SpaceX on 4 April 2017.
In 2012 July Musk first mentioned the hyperloop. This is all about the hypothetical high-speed mode of transportation would have so many characteristics those are: immunity to weather, collision-free, twice the speed of a plane, low power consumption, and energy storage for 24-hour operations. The Hyperloop transportation system as it has been proposed by Elon Musk in 2013.
History
I happily share that India is one of the gurus in technology how can I say that means in 2023 we can observe pride moments like Chandrayaan 3 and now IIT students are introducing the prototype of hyperloop. Recently, in our India  IIT-madras students are introducing the prototype "Avishkar Hyperloop’" which has been working on the technology since 2017, applying scalability and frugal engineering concepts for a Hyperloop-based transportation system.

Hyperloop transport is moving closer to reality.
But imagine if you could travel this long distance in less than an hour and approximately 2 to 3 hours without flying! This might very well be the future thanks to a new technology named Hyperloop.
Normally, travelling from Delhi to a port Blair in India typically takes around 5 to 6 hrs, Kolkata to Imphal (Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport to Imphal International Airport): This flight from Kolkata, West Bengal, to Imphal, the capital of Manipur, can take around 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on the specific flight and route.
Advantages of hyper loop
Hyperloop technology offers several potential advantages, including:

  • High speed
  • Energy efficiency
  • Safety
  • Time Balance
  • Potential for renewable energy
  • Economic growth
  • Reduced travel time

India is home to the fastest-growing global economy, a vibrant young workforce, and world-class high-tech engineering skills.

Railways, IIT-Madras to develop India’s own Hyperloop.
It’s the Hyperloop’s low energy requirement that has drawn the Railways towards the project, a statement issued by the ministry said Thursday, highlighting the help this technology can offer as the country endeavours to attain Carbon neutrality.
Hyperloop in India is expected to be launched soon! A high-speed mass transportation system for both, freight and passengers, Hyperloop is likely to be rolled out first in India or Saudi Arabia before it is launched in the UAE, the CEO of Emirati multinational logistics firm, DP World, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem said on Sunday. At Dubai Expo 2020, a six-month long event which started on October 1, Sulayem said within the end of this decade, the high-speed transport system will become a reality in many parts of the world. When asked about the time scales for the Virgin Hyperloop, the CEO of DP World said “Our hope is that when we achieve economies of scale and you have long routes and it is popular, probably for the speed of an airplane you will pay with the price of a truck,” PTI reported.

At present, the hi-tech transport system is being developed by several firms, including Virgin Hyperloop, in which a majority stake is held by Dubai-based port operator DP World. The high-speed mass transportation system- Hyperloop is described as a sealed tube or system of tubes with low air pressure through which a pod may travel substantially free of air resistance or friction. Last year, in the month of November, the firm tested human travel in a hyperloop pod for the first time.
