"MOM-Mars Orbiter Mission"

How many of us know that India succeeded in its first attempt to reach Martian orbit?
Most of us may not know that India is the first Asian nation to reach Martian orbit and the only country to achieve it on its first attempt. The movie 'MISSION MANGAL' offers us a glimpse of the remarkable achievement of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) with its Mars Orbiter Mission, known as Mangalyaan. This movie not only celebrates the success but also portrays the personal lives of scientists, allowing us to connect with their struggles.

The movie begins with the unsuccessful ISRO mission to reach the Moon, led by Rakesh Dhawan. This setback led the ISRO committee to assign Rakesh Dhawan to the Mars Mission, which had not been initiated for past few years. Many doubted India's ability that it is not possible for India to reach Martian orbit. Tara Shinde, a talented scientist, came up with an idea to achieve this goal with limited funds. Rakesh Dhawan and Tara Shinde initiated the Mangalyaan mission, which initially received little attention and funding. The ISRO committee assigned a team of junior scientists instead of experienced ones, which shows their lack of interest in the mission.

Initially, the team lacked enthusiasm for this mission, but Tara Shinde motivated every member, stating that this was their opportunity to make the world to look at India. However, the mission was stopped suddenly due to insufficient funds, which collapsed the dream of many scientists. Indians are known for not compromising when it comes to the pride of the nation. The mission was restarted and faced obstacles, including technical challenges and limited funding. After facing many struggles, the PSLV rocket was successfully launched.

Mangalyaan captured the world's attention, a proud moment for the entire nation. Every mission has its own challenges, and building and launching a rocket is not an easy task. What we witness is the rocket's launch, but at the backend, many scientists sacrifice their personal lives to work toward the ultimate goal of seeing our Indian flag flying high. The spirit and dedication of every scientist at ISRO have played a important role in making India a complete player in the field of space exploration.

India is also working on several projects like Gaganyaan, Aditya-L1, and, most recently, with the success of Chandrayaan-3, India became the first country to successfully land on the lunar south pole. ISRO's achievements and accomplishments are a source of pride for India. Our scientists have proven that "nothing is impossible when people work together to accomplish a specific goal with dedication and determination."
