The Joys Of Reading

Introduction
" Today's Readers are tomorrow's Leaders"
The joy of reading is something that cannot be described, it is something that you need to experience to understand how it feels. Reading gives us a much- needed break from the normal chaotic life experiences. Reading instills peace and relaxes the brain. Your world is filled with interesting characters the literature you are reading. Reading increases our imagination helping us to think about our ideas visually. Depending upon what type of content you are reading, the experience is same as someone watching a great movie.

Humans enjoy reading books in many ways. Here are a few:
Entertainment
Reading a book can be fun and enjoyable way to spend leisure time. Books can take you to new worlds, introduce you to new characters, and provide a way to escape from everyday life.
Learning
Books are also a great way to learn new things. They can provide information about a particular subject, teach a new skill, or provide insight into a historical event.
Emotional Connection
Books can also create an emotional connection between the reader and the characters. As readers identify with the characters in a story, they may experience a range of emotions such as joy, sadness, fear, and love.
Mental Stimulation
Reading books can also be mentally stimulating. It can improve vocabulary, reading comprehension, and critical thinking skills.
Relaxation
Reading can also be a way to relax and reduce stress. Engaging in a good book can help calm the mind and provide a much-needed break from the demands of daily life.

Conclusion
Reading has many benefits, it teaches us new vocabulary, improves our focus and imagination, makes us smarter and most importantly improves memory. Those who are habitual in reading feel comforted with books. It soothes and relieves tension and loneliness. People often get tired in their daily routines. Most of us usually give preference to the need to relax our bodies, we always forget that our minds need rest too. To me reading is something that can make me forget other things that give me stress and gives my mind complete relaxation, just like yoga. It exposes me to a world of imagination where nothing is impossible.
But, here we are in the 21st century where everything is moving at rocket-speed. These days, people are so engaged in their social and professional lives that they rarely find time to read. Excessive use of the internet plays a key role, it has taken over books, newspapers and magazines. Social networking is holding us captive within a single electronic gadget.
Here is what we can do to improve our reading habits:
Eliminate distractions, set a daily page goal and start reading every day. Even if it’s only for a few minutes, it will all add up week by week. Always try to have a book handy somewhere to pull out when you’re standing in a queue or taking the bus. You can even keep a book by your bed, to read before you relax and fall asleep.
Books are no doubt very faithful friends of a reader. They never betray, always accompany. We must never let it die out.
