PROS AND CONS OF PLAYING 'VIRTUAL GAMES'

INTRODUCTION:
Virtual games refer to electronic games played on digital devices, often involving interactive simulations of virtual environments. These can include video games, computer games, and other forms of digital entertainment where players engage with a computer-generated world, often for entertainment or competitive purposes.
 
Online gaming became more social, with players forming online communities to compete and collaborate. At present, online gaming has evolved into a multi-billion dollar industry that is growing exponentially.Online games have evolved over time, from simple text-based games like Multi-User Dungeon to high-end open-world games such as Red Dead Online. They can be classified into two types: browser-based games and downloadable video game titles with online connectivity components. Various genres of online games are available, such as simulation, puzzle, action, racing, and strategy-based games. Players can play against other players in real-time or against the computer. The latest developments in online gaming also allow multi-player participants to have full-fledged video-based interaction for better coordination during the game.
 
PROS OF PLAYING 'VIRTUAL GAMES' INCLUDES:
 
1) BRAIN BOOSTER:
Many parents think online games make their kid's brains dull and inactive. But in reality, it is the opposite. At the same time, if you play video games regularly, the grey matter of your brain increases, which helps boost brain connectivity.
 
2) IMPROVES CONCENTRATION:
If you want to win any games, you need to be focused on the game. Video games need lots of focus; if you get distracted even for a second, you might lose the game. Your brain starts to function quickly while concentrating on the video game.Video games help to improve a kid's attention and concentration.
 
​​​​​​​3) CAN MAKE IT CAREER:
Online gaming can also be your career if you are focused on it. Many gamers are making their living out of it. If you are a pro gamer, you can teach beginners gaming skills, take classes, and make income
 
4) HELPS TO REDUCE DEPRESSION, ANXIETY, AND STRESS:
If you have depression or anxiety, you can take the help of non-violent online games to reduce depression, anxiety, and stress. When you start to play a video game, your energy and confidence grow. This will somehow reduce depression among players.
 
"As per a study,many online games help to reduce stress hormones like cortisol by 17%".

CONS OF PLAYING 'VIRTUAL GAMES' INCLUDES:

1) ADDICTION:
Video games are addictive if you keep on playing them without any break. If you do not have self-control over video games, you might get addicted to the game. And to avoid this problem we need to take a break after playing for 30 mins or an hour.
 
2) MIGHT GET VICTIM OF CYBERBULLYING AND SCAMMING:
You never know who is on the other end; you might end up scammers and bullies.
To avoid this, we should not reveal any of our real information to unknowns.
 
3) LOSS OF MONEY: 
Many online games involve real money transaction for various purposes,this can often lead to people using too much of their money, thereby causing financial difficulties in real life
To avoid this, we need to ignore the real money transaction part and just play the game for a fun purpose.
 
4) POOR HEALTH:
Spending excessive time can lead to physical health issues, also it can lead to poor mental health.
 
TIPS FOR MAINTAINING HEALTHY GAMING HABITS:
 
1) REGULAR BREAKS:
 It is important to take periodic breaks while playing games in order to prevent eye strain, headaches, posture problems, and so on.

2) SET TIME LIMITS:
 Predetermine the maximum time to be given to gaming activities and get off the screen once the limits are reached.

3) MAINTAIN SLEEP PATTERNS:
Avoid gaming habits at night, as it will disturb your sleep patterns and adversely affect your health. Do not compromise when it comes to the required portion of sleep.
 
CONCLUSION:
Online games can be a good source of entertainment and provide many benefits, such as developing problem-solving skills and spending leisure time with friends and family. However, there are also some disadvantages to playing online games. 

"The greatest games are the ones where you not only level up your character but also yourself". In this boundless realm of gaming, may your victories be sweet, your defeats fleeting, and your adventures limitless.
